They provide preventive health care for their herd and take special care with milking and sanitation procedures. In addition to closely monitoring the health of the animals through their milk quality, our field department investigates and assesses specific animal management concerns when they arise. The farmer-owner and staff work together to develop a formal plan to resolve issues. Farmer-owners who fail to fix the problem in a timely manner forfeit their membership.

Our goal is to produce the highest quality milk in the nation. We have succeeded at this goal in large part because of our focus on animal care. The farmer-owners who meet our demanding quality requirements are rewarded. Those found lacking receive every support we can provide to help them meet our standards.
