Tillamook County Creamery Association Sponsors 2005 June Dairy Parade
May 25, 2005

Tillamook County Creamery Association will sponsor the 48th annual June Dairy Parade. It is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25 in downtown Tillamook, Ore.

“Our continued support of the June Dairy Parade is a testament of our dedication to our community and its dairy industry,” said Jim McMullen, president and CEO of Tillamook County Creamery Association. “We are proud members of the Tillamook community and we want to continue supporting its long standing traditions.”

“The festivals committee appreciates the continued support of the Tillamook County Creamery Association for keeping this tradition alive and for its dedication to the community,” said Linda Kay Marshall, the committee chairperson.

TCCA has been involved with the parade since its debut in 1957. The cooperative took over the sponsorship in 2003 to keep the parade a part of the June Dairy Festival. This year’s theme is “Treasures of Tillamook County.” The parade will leave the marshalling area at 10:30 a.m. and will continue the length of Main Avenue to Tenth Street and disband at Tillamook High School.

The Tillamook County Creamery Association, formed as a farmer-owned cooperative in 1909, has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s premier brands of cheese. Tillamook is a national marketer of naturally aged cheddar and a variety of other cheeses, butter, and an extensive line of premium ice cream, sour cream and yogurt. TCCA is most famously known for its internationally award-winning Tillamook Cheddar Cheese.
