Tillamook County Creamery Association Honored as a “Most Admired Company in Oregon”
December 11, 2007

Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) was recognized as the eighth Most Admired Company in Oregon for agriculture or forestry products. This is the second year that TCCA has been recognized. The Most Admired Companies awards, which are organized by the Portland Business Journal, were announced on Dec. 6.

Launched in 2005 as a way to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of companies in Oregon, the Most Admired Companies listing is generated by surveying more than 2,000 CEOs and top-level managers in Oregon.

“Receiving an award as one of Oregon's most admired companies is a great honor,” said Harold Strunk, TCCA’s president and CEO. “This award is a tribute to the passion and dedication of our people. It is our people that make Tillamook County Creamery Association a special company and a great place to work.”

Oregon executives were asked to choose three companies they most admired in eight different industries, which were technology, agriculture, nonprofits, health care, financial services, professional services, commercial real estate and traditional manufacturers; as well as selecting three companies they admired most across all industries. The executives also ranked their choices based on five criteria: innovation, quality of management, community involvement, quality of products and services, and branding and marketing. The results were tallied using a point system, which created the top 10 list of most admired companies overall and for each category.

The Most Admired Companies event was sponsored by D.A. Davidson, HeadHunters NW, Melvin Mark Companies, Microsoft, Nasdaq and PGE.
